The Association of Bay Area Governments estimates that when the Hayward fault ruptures, 1,734 roads will be closed.
This means that you probably won’t be driving home if you’re somewhere else when it hits. So…you should be ready to walk.
So here’s what you should keep in your car:
1. A backpack emergency kit(s). See photo of one from SOSproducts.com
2. Some comfortable walking shoes.
3. A little extra water and snack bars.
Stay safe.
